How to Check and Update Forwarding Settings in Gmail?

This video walks through how to verify if your Gmail forwarding is set up correctly, especially when switching to a new forwarding address.

Navigate to Gmail Settings > See all settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Check if your emails are still being forwarded to an old email address.
To update it, click "Add a forwarding address", enter the new email, and verify it using the confirmation code.
Simply adding the new address doesn’t stop forwarding to the old one.
Important reminder: you must explicitly switch to the new address.
Once updated, you’ll be able to confirm the new forwarding is active by checking where emails are being received (e.g., Helpdesk system).
